Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Lynwood, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate billing processes while working fully onsite, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities: - Prepare, review, and submit billing claims accurately and in a timely manner. - Utilize CareLogic software and other electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage billing processes. - Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks with precision and efficiency. - Respond to inbound calls related to billing inquiries and provide exceptional customer service. - Verify and reconcile billing data to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational standards. - Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and resolve billing issues promptly. - Maintain accurate records and documentation for all billing activities. - Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance in billing operations. - Assist in generating financial reports related to billing as required. Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems, including CareLogic, Epic, and other EHR platforms. - Demonstrated experience in medical billing and financial services. - Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. - Ability to effectively manage computerized billing systems. - Previous experience handling inbound calls related to billing or financial inquiries. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Familiarity with non-profit billing operations is a plus. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
