If you are passionate about organic chemistry and have a strong background in both synthesis and molecular biology, we would love to hear from you! **Location:** South San Francisco, CA **Pay Rate:** $35-50/hr **Key Responsibilities:** + Synthesize surfactants using organic chemistry techniques, ensuring high purity and yield + Conduct research and development to optimize surfactant synthesis processes + Apply molecular biology techniques to support projects in protein expression, gene cloning, and DNA/RNA manipulation + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design experiments, analyze data, and solve technical challenges + Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experimental procedures, results, and observations + Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in organic chemistry, surfactant synthesis, and molecular biology + Assist in troubleshooting and improving lab processes and protocols **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field + Proven experience in surfactant synthesis and organic synthesis techniques + Strong background in molecular biology, including PCR, cloning, protein expression, and genetic manipulation + Excellent laboratory skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively + Ability to design and execute experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings effectively + Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities + Proficiency in using laboratory equipment, software tools, and data analysis **Preferred Skills:** + Experience with bioconjugation techniques and surfactant-based formulations + Familiarity with advanced molecular biology techniques (e.g., CRISPR, RNAi, etc.) + Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
