Description Our client, a well-established law firm based in Monterey, California, is seeking a skilled Paralegal or Legal Secretary with litigation experience to join its dynamic legal team. This role requires in-office attendance and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: + Assist attorneys in litigation matters, including drafting and filing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery materials. + Coordinate case management tasks, including calendaring deadlines and managing case files. + Conduct legal research and compile information to support case preparation. + Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally and efficiently. + Maintain organized and detailed records of client matters and litigation proceedings. Requirements Qualifications: + Minimum of 2 years of experience as either a paralegal or legal secretary. + Preferred: prior litigation experience in a legal setting. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. + Proficiency in legal technology tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. + Ability to work on-site in Monterey, California. + Paralegal certificate is preferred but not required.
